Independent Support Advocacy
Helping you speak up, be heard, and get the support you deserve
As a supportive advocate, I support neurodivergent people like me, and the parents and carers of ND children and young people (again, like me!) to express their needs, understand their rights, and navigate systems that can often feel overwhelming. Whether you're dealing with workplace challenges, job centres, education providers, housing, or healthcare appointments—you're not alone. As someone who is autistic myself and who has on many occasions needed an advocate, I understand how important the support can be from someone who 'gets it'.
What I Can Help With
-
Preparing for and attending important meetings (e.g. with employers, schools, GPs, university staff, EHCP's, tribunals- non legal or clinical service, only support advocacy)
-
Requesting reasonable adjustments or accommodations
-
Writing letters or emails that clearly express your needs
-
Understanding official processes and your rights (non-legal)
-
Supporting you to self-advocate with confidence
-
Being a calm, informed presence who can relate to your experiences, when you feel unheard or overwhelmed
-
Helping you to articulate yours or your child's needs in writing if this is something you find challenging.
What This Is Not
I do not offer legal advice, therapy, or regulated statutory advocacy. Instead, I provide trusted, informal support as someone who understands how difficult these systems can be—especially for neurodivergent minds.
