Supportive Advocacy
For ND individuals & parents/carers of ND children & young people
Service Description
Supportive advocacy from me, 8 years experience working with children, young people and young adults in a variety of settings, including asylum seeking children and young people, young people leaving the care system and young ND children in school and nursery settings- and an NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People's Workforces, alongside my BSc (Hons) Child & Adolescent Mental Health & Wellbeing and various ASD, ADHD and safeguarding trainings. I support neurodiverse individuals to understand their rights, and navigate systems that can often feel overwhelming. Whether you're dealing with workplace challenges, job centres, education providers, housing, or healthcare appointments—you're not alone. I also assist parents and carers of ND children & young people to navigate the ND world whether it's peer advice on EHCP's, applications to alternative provisions, assistance for meetings and appointments. What I Can Help With Preparing for and attending important meetings (e.g. with employers, GPs, university staff) Requesting reasonable adjustments or accommodations Writing letters or emails that clearly express your needs Understanding official processes and your rights (non-legal) Supporting you to self-advocate with confidence Being a calm, informed presence when you feel unheard or overwhelmed What This Is Not I do not offer legal advice, therapy, or regulated statutory advocacy. Instead, I provide trusted, informal support as someone who understands how difficult these systems can be—especially for neurodivergent minds. Who This Is For Autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, dyspraxic or otherwise neurodivergent adults Parents or carers of ND individuals who need support navigating services People who are struggling to communicate their needs to professionals or institutions Why Choose Me?
