ND Parents Support
Who supports you?
Service Description
Being neurodivergent and a parent at the same time can be one of the most challenging roles we take on as ND individuals. In these sessions (1hr per week on a day and at a time that suits you), we will talk through the things that you're currently finding challenging. I'll work with you to identify triggers, shared experiences and support you to put together a plan of how you navigate these challenges, and how you look after YOU as an ND parent. These sessions will consist of: - Creating a plan to manage sensory needs and how these can be affected by being a parent - Discussing shared experiences - Just someone to 'offload' to, I understand what you're going through and I'll offer any knowledge I can to help. - Includes access to online meet ups for ND parents to discuss recent issues, how others would cope with these, share experiences. - Includes supportive advocacy for you or your child (employment advocacy for you, EHCP and school related issues for your child) - This can include accompanying you to meetings, appointments, or just supporting online or in person if within 20 miles radius of Warrington or Liverpool area - There will also be 1 parent event hosted monthly on Zoom, where multiple parents from my service will meet (me too) on the meeting link to have a catch up and share experiences. *These are based on ND life coaching, not to replace counselling or clinical professions at all. Advice and support given is not legal or clinical, it is solely a supportive advocate approach.
